2008
In January and February, I
played recitals in Nelson, Trail and Coquitlam, B.C.; Redmond, Oregon;
and Palm Springs, California. I made my debut with the Lexington (Kentucky)
Philharmonic under the wonderful baton of Daniel Meyer, performing the
Schumann Piano Concerto. March brought a few visits to the Province
of Alberrrrrta, playing at the University of Calgary and at Festival
Place in Sherwood. Then it was back home to Vancouver for a faculty
recital at UBC on their Pacific Spirit Series, and a beautiful train
ride to Seattle to repeat the program at lovely Town Hall. Later in
April I gave a cabaret concert with mezzo Debi Wong at the Cellar Jazz
Club in Vancouver -- all-Gershwin and Dana Suesse -- and then flew to
New York for recitals at the Metropolitan Museum and Greenwich House
Music School, and a Master Class at my old stomping grounds of New York
University. As I write these words in early May, I am preparing for
a very busy summer's journey through Edmonton, Boston, Toronto, Montreal,
Sacramento, and Prague, Czech Republic. Please stay tuned!
